Usually the kids and I go out everyday ( I cant stand being at home all day) but lately I've decided I need to keep them at home a little more and enjoy some fun activities at home with them, We still make our weekly visits to the local playgroup, church playgroup, Lacey's ballet lessons, weekly errons, and the kids attend Family daycare once a week. But, we're having a few more 'home' days then usual which has been nice and we're saving so much more petrol on-top of that!
Here are some photo's of what the kid's have been up to lately :
Sparklers before bed time
Movie time
Enjoying and playing with our presents from Aunty Nessy, Thanks Aunty Nessy!
Playdough time! This activity lasted about 1.5 hours! Usually play-dough only lasts about 30 mins tops, So I was very happy after 1.5 hours when Lacey said she was finished and BJ was getting wrestles my hands were getting tired from making so many birds and birds nests as Lacey has requested me to make.
We babysat Harri one morning for a few hours so I decided we'd bake some cookies, I had all 3 kids up on the table taking it in turns to mix the batter, I rolled them into balls and the kids topped with mini M&M's although half of the M&M's were going into there mouths instead of on top of the cookies!
We've been taking advantage of the sun before it goes into hiding, winter is almost here (I can not wait!) So, we've enjoyed long walks in the double pram I put my runners on and try and power walk and push so I get a little exercise in too! And lots of playing outside in the Cubby house, Slide, Trampoline & running around the backyard with Billie (Our rabbit)
The kids are pretty easy going and usually behave pretty well, they really enjoy playing together and playing alone, Lacey is always pottering the house with a handbag over her shoulder, a pretty dress on and dolls in her arms taking them to the shops, the doctor and putting them to sleep on the couch she has a really big imagination!
And BJ is usually climbing on top of things and jumping off (literally) pushing his cars/trucks/trains around the lounge-room, building towers with the blocks or just following Lacey around and copying everything she is doing.
I feel very blessed that they are able to play so happily (most times) and that they don't need my attention 24.7, I mean of course we have our 'bad' days where everything is upside down and nothing is going right, but most of the time there pretty good kid's and I'm able to get what I need done during the day and have dinner prepared and ready to eat by the time Brett is home. I definitely need to appreciate that more and thank my Heavenly Father for that. Sometimes I think I get so caught up with 'life' that I need to stop and look around at what I have and appreciate that more and not take it for granted. Kid's grow so fast and I don't want to look back one day and regret not spending more time with them. I'm very grateful for my 2 beautiful children and love them unconditionally.

1.5 hours? That's amazing! It's hard to keep those little ones entertained for long periods of time! Baking is so fun with littlies! I'm sure they loved that!
