Easter

Easter this year has been quite an eventful one, Brett had Friday through to Tuesday off work Thank-you WHK. On Friday we had a Shearwater bbq, these happen quite frequently we're very lucky to live in a such a small friendly town with lots of friends around, We headed down to the local park/creek for a late Breakfast Bbq, the kids swam in the paddle pool & some of the men swam in the creek, the mums chatted away and we all enjoyed the day. The kids were exhausted when we got home. During the night things turned bad, Brett was up all night with a vomit bug we think may off been food poisoning? So on Saturday we had a pretty lazy day as Brett spent most of the day in bed or with his head over the toilet, poor guy. Though we did manage to nik out for an hr in the morning to purchase a new mattress that has been on our list for quite some months!

On Sunday morning around 7am we heard some noises coming from Lacey's room but after a few mins they stopped, about 1/2 later Lacey came running into our room saying I woke up earlier & looked around my room for easter eggs but could't find any so I went back to sleep, How cute is she? We had a giggle and told her that her eggs might be hiding in the Lounge-room, BJ woke up secs later so the kids ran out into the lounge room to find there eggs & presents. The night before we had put some easter bunny food out for the easter bunny so we checked to see if he had eaten it and yes he did!

We headed off to church after that. When we got home we relaxed then Aunty Jayne & the girls came to visit and give the kids some egg's We love Aunty Jayne!

Monday morning we headed off early to go to Mole Creek Caves, I'd never been there before but Brett had been there a few times. We went on the tour there was about 15 other people on the tour too. It was pretty fun the kids had fun minus BJ's whinging lol. It was absolutely FREEZING inside the caves!! 9 degrees! It made me excited for tassie winter, Love it. There were parts of the tour where it was pitch black literally pitch black! I was actually a little scared as I'm not a fan of the dark anyway! But the kids thought it was pretty cool.

We took the 20 min walking track up to the caves instead of driving.

On the way home it was late in the afternoon so we thought we'd go somewhere for a early tea, Lacey requested Sushi but Bento was shut, so we went over to Charcoal Chicken instead.

We've had a lovely weekend and have loved having Bretty home for a few days with us.

  2. How fun! I wouldn't be that big of a fan of those caves either. Claustrophobic!! Glad you had fun and made it out safely!
