Yesterday was Bretts Birthday! His 27th! We had a great day. Birthday celebrations are becoming alot more funner in the house now that Lacey understands what a birthday is, BJ not quite yet. Bretty got very spoilt this year - It takes me a good 6 months to figure out what i will buy him for his birthday he is very hard to shop for but at the same time he is very easy if that makes sense? So for his Birthday he got a new pair of OAKLEY sunglasses, a DVD documentary about ocean creatures, a couple of fishing magazines & UFC magazines, and a new tefal frying pan (if any of you know brett you'll know he LOVES to cook and only likes to do it with the top quality or top of the range knives and pans in the kitchen. (Last year i got him a global knife). I asked him what he would like me to cook him for dinner and he said steak and vege's - Really i asked? OK! done, easy for me to cook! So i made the extra effort and went to the butcher to purchase some yummy porterhouse steaks. For dessert he requested a cheesecake. This is how it all turned out
It doesn't look very yummy, but it's his favorite sort of dinner - He's pretty easy to please!
Raspberry and oreo cheesecake, it had been sitting out for quite some time which caused the raspberries to melt.

Joel is SO hard to shop for. I'm glad Bretty is hard, but easy. Those are some good gifts. And, that dinner looks delicious. I love the cake and love that you still celebrate with candles!
