GOLD COAST

I was very very lucky to be surprised with tickets to the Gold Coast as my Mothers Day present from Brett and the kids, Brett took annual leave to stay home with the kids so I could go away visit my family and have one last little break before number 3 arrives in 8-7 weeks! My parents have recently moved back "home" to the Gold Coast from Melbourne where they lived for a little over a yr due to work commitments so it's been 2 years since I've been back to the Coast! and it was much needed/wanted! 

I flew out Thursday afternoon and mum picked me up from the airport, my flight was delayed before taking off and then again once in the air where we circled Brisbane for an hr before we could land! so It was late once I actually arrived there. 

Friday morning we were up and at it - first stop - shopping!! we met up with my Aunt and then headed to good old Sizzler for lunch. Dang, I miss this place! when living on the Gold Coast Brett and I used to frequent here quite alot :) 

Saturday morning we were up at early once again and headed to the Temple for a session it was lovely to sit and do a session with my mum. After that we went out for lunch and did a little more shopping. 

Sunday was church and then home again for family dinner with my brother and his wife and there 3 kids - this was exciting as I was able to meet my new little nephew that my Brother and his wife adopted from the Philippines. 8 years they have waited for this and finally a few months ago they went to the Philippines to pick up there child. 

And here he is! Jonas! 

He is seriously the cutest little fella ever and soooo funny! He doesn't speak much English or understand a whole heap but that doesn't stop him from being the cutest :) 

Monday morning once again we were up and at it and headed to the shops and a movie and had a bit more of a relaxing day compared to the other days we'd had. I was pretty exhausted by then being 32 weeks pregnant and on the go the whole time but it was totally worth it!

Tuesday morning I had a early flight home so off to the airport we went. I had such a great time and thank my awesome husband so much for this fantastic present! What a gem of a guy hey! I missed him and the kids like crazzzy but I think mum every mother needs a break now and then and some time out to totally refresh and re-charge! 

When I got home Brett told me that our washing machine has busted and leaked and flooded so we had to go out that day to buy a new one! What a pain, but a new machine was on our list of things we needed anyways. 

And this is the new one! I love the clear lid. Its pretty fancy!
