A Weekend Away

I was very Lucky this past past weekend to head away to Melbourne for 2 nights and 3 days all by myself! I met my mum in Melbourne and we had a little Mother-Daughter weekend together. I arrived in Melbourne at 10am on Friday morning, As i was waiting for my mum to pick me up I was little star struck when Lara Bingle walked by me! Anyway, Once mum picked me up we headed straight to Chadstone West-fields probably the biggest shopping center ever! I've been here a few times & love it more & more each time. We pretty much spent the rest of the day there eating lunch, shopping, walking around, eating more lunch & delicious macaroons at the Lindt Cafe.

We stopped by to look at all these cute little desserts at another cafe I had to take a picture they were amazing!

Later that night I caught up with my bestie to have Dinner we went to T.G.I Friday's (American Restaurant) 

We went a little overboard and ordered the 3 course meal deal, pretty much you pay a set price and order one entree, one main and one dessert. 

 And this was dessert, a choc fudge caramel brownie popcorn sundae. 

Saturday was another busy day, In the morning we went to this huge OP shop and picked up some great bargains, by Lunch time we were on our way to the City. We had lunch at a japanese place in the City and by the afternoon it was time to head into Jersey Boys the Musical at the princess Theater. 

We had really awesome seats we were right in the middle and about 4 or 5 rows from the front, We we so close we could see the sweat on the dancers faces! It was amazing and such a fantastic performance. I enjoyed every second of it. 

 After the show we went and got some Gelato from this cute little place they had really different flavors there so of course I had to get a 3 scoop as I could't make up my mind haha. I had watermelon & mint, Salted caramel, and pear mascerpone and pine-nut. We walked around the city some more and looked some shops and then got the train to come home.

Once home, My brother & I went to grab some tea at this place called Shintz it's like a Burger got Soul kind of place but more of a restaurant style. The servings were huge & I was only able to finish half of it, and probably because I'd been stuffing my face the entire weekend with yummy foods! 

Sunday Morning it was time to get back to reality, you know kid's and a husband and a life? haha 

It was such a lovely weekend away and totally needed, A small break like that can work wonders for us Mummies! And I'm very grateful to have a husband who even took the Friday off work to stay home and look after the kid's so I was able to go away. 

A fun filled weekend, but glad to be home and back to routine.
