A few weeks ago Brett and I celebrated 5 years of Marriage! Wow! 5 years already, how time has flown by, In a good way of course. We kept is pretty simple this year & didn't do any gifts like we usually do so instead we went away for 2 night's and 3 days (with the kids too)
We stayed at the Casino (Country Club) in Launceston. We had a blast & so did the kids. Brett finished work early Friday & the kids and I picked him up & headed straight into Launceston.
The room was huge, there was a master bedroom where Brett & I slept with a flat screen TV and then a separate bedroom where the kids slept with another TV. The kids slept perfectly both night's.
Friday night we just hung around the hotel and then went out to dinner to a fancy Italian place called Villa Italiano.
On Saturday we had buffet breakfast at the hotel & then headed to City park so the kids could see the monkeys & have a play at the park and walk around the gardens.
We then headed into town for some shopping! Jake & Charlotte were in Launceston that day too so we met up with them for some lunch and some shopping company.
On Sunday morning we had buffet Breakfast again came back to the hotel hung around there for a while watched a movie and then packed up & checked out & made our way home.
It was a quiet relaxing refreshing weekend with the family & even though it was a Anniversary celebration it was so fun to have the kid's with us!
I can't believe it's been 5 years since my Love and I were sealed together in the Brisbane Temple, what a wonderful 5 years it has been with many up's and many down's. I'm so blessed to have found such a wonderful, kind hearted, caring, funny, good-looking, humble man like Brett. He's an incredible husband & even more of an incredible & hands on father to our children.

Sounds like you guys had a wonderful time. It was nice that you got to be able to spend some time away together as a family. The kids look like they are having fun.
ReplyDeleteI think it's fun you could celebrate with the kids. Maybe for your 10 year you can make a bigger trip and leave the kids with babysitters! 5 years? It has gone by quickly! You two have accomplished a lot in those 5 years!
