Last week we went to Hobart for 4 days as a family, we had been planning for a while to go away somewhere in Tassie once brett had finished exams and had time off, So of we went to Hobart! I love Hobart so much to do and see there, We stayed at a holiday park so we had a little self contained 2 bedroom cabin. We had a fantastic 4 days fun filled and non stop! Thankfully the kid's sleept awesome! It was there first time sleeping together in the same room and they did a great job at it. Its so nice to get away from the real life and take a break with your family and enjoy some fun things you would't usually do, spend some money you would't usually spend & be together and enjoy the company.
At the cabin, ready to head out to Buffet dinner at the Casino!
I only took 1 picture at the dinner, if you've never been to the buffet dinner at the casino please do! It was amazing....and dont even get me started on the dessert bar! They had this huge 4 tier chocolate fondue with all different sorts of sides umm..AMAZING! Since turning Vegetarian I was a little worried there would't be much of a selection for me but i was very wrong, they had all sorts of different varieties to choose from, we were SOO full at the end of dinner that we decided to go for a walk along the broad-walk and work off some of the dessert ha-ha
Some photos taken out front of the casino along the Broad-Walk
We headed to the Richmond Zoo we've been wanting to go there for a while so we were very excited especially Lacey. The zoo was great fun one of the best Zoo's Ive been to here in Tassie - They had lions & tigers where you could feed them from behind a gate
Lacey having a turn at feeding the Tiger
There was a Safari bus tour that we got to go on, No-one warned us about this though! this thing was crazy if you want to get up and personal with the emu's and camels then make sure you go on this bus tour when at the Zoo
now for the video of it
BJ was so scared of this! and i will admit i was too! These emu's were crazy, just popping up from no-where and ripping the food bags out of your hands!
Lacey is absolutely obsessed with Ponies she loves loves loves them! I'm glad she finally got to pat and touch a pony that she has been asking to do for months!
She was so excited she was so close to tears! she was so happy about playing with the ponies it was very hard to get her away from them so we could move on to the next animal.
They also had a jumping castle and ball-pit at the zoo that was indoor's

After the Zoo we headed the city for some shopping! and to Cold-Rock! Yummo!

Saturday morning we were up and early and off to Salamanca Markets & a look around Salamanca we stopped for breakfast at salamanca & I was able to enjoy a yummy vegetarian toasted breakfast roll, while Brett dug into the good old Bacon and Egg roll with the lot!
We went and checked out the Fairy shop in Salamanca where the kids were able to sit and listen to story time .
After the markets we went to the Botanical Gardens and spent the afternoon there
After the gardens, it was some last minute shopping and Nando's for dinner!
Sunday was church & home time, on the way home we spotted a Echidna crossing the rd so of course we stopped so the kid's could have a look!
Such a fun 4 days away! Had a great time together and was so nice to be able to get away and do the things we did

Oh I'm so glad you guys got some time together after Brett's exams. I am loving those shoes too! I totally want to take Hazza to Zoo Doo now! Though those Emus are crazy.
